Are you...
Are you...
Are you...
Are you...
I hear you and let me tell you this: you are not alone!
Tending to others is what women do well. And that is why, when a group of like-minded women get together with the mission to focus on themselves and reengage with their own passions and strengths, magic happens. Through a series of guided journaling and discussion sessions, you will uncover the skills, the passions and the richness of your experience embedded in your unique life story to date. We strive for no regrets because your past is not meant to be your punishment – it’s meant to be your wisdom.
Join us in a workshop retreat in beautiful Rangeley Maine this fall! Be ready to work hard on yourself, be pampered with morning meditation and evening restorative yoga sessions (no yoga experience or meditation experience necessary), be amazed with the beautifully prepared dinners and lunches and the continuing conversations that lend to the richness of the experience and the fire pit after-dinner sessions; and somewhere in here we know you’ll have your aha moment.

Hi, I’m Kristi Stangeland, founder of My ParaVita, a company that helps busy women find balance, wellness and a sense of achievement in all they do. As your retreat host, I am blessed to meet wonderful women teachers like Lisa.
Lisa is an entrepreneur, local politician, mother of two wonderful young adults, and a fierce advocate for women, young and old, to recognize their societal and economic value/importance whether they are paid or unpaid. She has lived in Stowe, VT for 15 years, owns a women’s high-end, full-service boutique called Well Heeled, a yoga studio called The Yoga Barn, and is now focused on her passion project, Five Birch Strategies for women.
In the years following her move to Vermont, Lisa lost her mother and two older sisters to cancer. As she says, she’s “walked in many shoes,” as life is unavoidably filled with challenge, suffering and hardship, as well as joy, adventure and love. But it was enduring this particular stretch of life that revealed the depth of her resilience and the belief that most of us have that resilience within us.
While she continues to evolve, learn, mourn and celebrate, she is deeply committed to helping others find their path, recognize their value and be prepared to not just weather the storm, but thrive, when life throws the curve balls that inevitably come our way.
In her prior chapters, she had a career as an Investment Banker, was a championship figure skater, earned undergraduate and MBA degrees from Harvard and last but certainly not least was the sixth of seven children and the youngest of the five girls. She grew up saying “me too” as an aspirational phrase.
“The True North Retreat I attended at Indian Point in Maine with two close friends turned into an incredibly special long week-end experience. The thought provoking and open discussions with our group of 11 woman were open, productive, funny and refreshing…and honestly inspirational. A clear bond was made effortlessly with our group and many “take away” lessons were learned. The beautiful lodge and idyllic setting on the lake (lapping water and loon calls), the restorative yoga sessions and the communal dinners-were simply icing on the cake.
I highly recommend the True North Retreat to anyone looking to stretch themselves and to share that experience with like-minded souls. A thumbs up!”

THIS ALL SOUNDS GREAT BUT…
How do I get to Rangeley?
We are only 4.5 hours by car from Boston or Montreal. Portland, Maine is two hours away.
I have special food requirements.
No worries! There are many gluten-free options for breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be modified for vegetarians & vegans.
I'm so busy!
